How Our Betta Health Checker Works

Females dying one a week
Can I please pick your brains because I’m at a bit of a loss – I’ve been consistently losing about one female betta a week for the last 6 weeks in my sorority tank. This started well before I added a male in last week (who has settled in really well, no arguments that I’ve ever seen). I initially thought it could be fin rot as a few fins have looked scraggly so I did a 5 day treatment of Seachem Paraguard which is meant to be really good medication for external issues. Anyway I just fished another dead female…
The Betta Health Checker is designed to help betta owners share important information about a sick or unhealthy betta fish. By submitting photos and symptom details, our team can better understand the condition of your fish and provide preliminary care guidance.
Please include clear close-up photos of the affected area, a full-body photo of your betta, and details about the tank environment. Useful information includes tank size, water change schedule, water temperature, food type, recent behavior changes, appetite, fin condition, color changes, white spots, swelling, floating problems, or unusual swimming behavior.
Common betta fish health problems may include fin rot, white spots, fungus, cloudy eyes, bloating, swim bladder issues, stress, poor water quality, loss of appetite, damaged fins, or unusual behavior. The more details you provide, the easier it is for our team to review your case.
All submissions are reviewed before publication. This Betta Health Checker provides preliminary advice only and does not replace professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
